It was reported on this blog three weeks ago here. that The Oracle claimed that Coes have bought or are attempting to buy the ‘Snare n Ounds’
I stated that as it recently reopened under new management and Coes have plans for their present building over the next couple of years, that I believed The Oracle may have those facts wrong. Today’s Morning Evening Star proves The Oracle right. The Evening Star says
Former ‘tough pub’ to become a dream shop for future brides
A pub once branded one of the toughest in Britain is set to ditch the beers as it transforms into a bridal wear shop.
The Hare and Hounds pub in Norwich Road, which closed two weeks ago, has been bought by the owners of nearby Goes, and is set to under go a major development.
The Oracle was right about it becoming a bridal shop too, though I didn’t mention that detail on this blog.
Meanwhile The Oracle is maintaining that the former Rose and Crown pub is going to be turned into a mosque. He claims that the Muslims who run the Indian restaurants in Norwich road are not happy about it because they are Shia’s.
Also The Oracle claims that Muslims in London are defacing bill boards of women in bikini’s by painting Burka’s over them. I doubt if that story is true still.
Good luck to them: although considering that there are already two bridal shops just a few doors away, I’m not sure it’s what the area needs most.
