Yesterday was the first edition of the Ipswich Morning Star. The Ipswich Morning Star is the Morning Evening Star with a different name and costs 10 pence more than the Morning Evening Star did.
In the first edition of the Ipswich Morning Star, as well as the usual Monday Comrade Camel Column there is the Ben Gummer column also.
Ben Gummer talks about visiting Ranelagh Road School in the forgotten ward of Gipping
Ben Gummer says
The Dickens estate and Ranelagh Road get little of the love and attention lavished on other parts of the town, and that is a shame.
As I know people at Living Water I disagree.
Ben says that Ranelagh School is in a bit of Ipswich that people too often forget. But even our careerist councillors would acknowledge that some of us don’t forget it because they get regular updates from here.
Ben Gummer also says something stupid.
Ranelagh Road could, with very little expense, be given a real boost,
This is stupid because considerable investment has been put into Ranelagh Road already. The new flats, shops and the Ramada Encore Hotel where the disused factory was is the result. People living the other side of the development will tell you how it has made the area a very nice place to live. Some residents would now like to see Ranelagh Road blocked off at one end.
Ben Gummer also says
whilst I continue to be astounded that there has never been a Children’s Centre around here, not least because there are many parents who would like to have one close by.
The reason for this is because Gipping Ward is forgotten because it is a safe seat for Ipswich Labour’s careerists to be elected in and do little if any case work. It needs a local resident on the council who would make sure it isn’t forgotten.
Is this the start of your election campaign ?
How’s your election campaign in Stoke Park going?
