Arrests made – Ipswich

Two men are in police custody this evening, Thursday 29 March 2012, following two robberies in Ipswich.

The arrests are in relation to an incident on Nacton Road on Monday morning, 26 March, in which a woman was robbed of cash in a car park, and an armed robbery at the Spar store on Freehold Road on Tuesday 31 January.

The men, both aged 18 and from Ipswich, have been detained at the Martlesham Police Investigation Centre for questioning

Also, Police in Ipswich arrested two teenagers yesterday, Thursday 29 March, at around 10pm following two burglaries earlier in the evening.

The two males, 16 and 17 years old, both from Ipswich have been arrested on suspicion of burglary following incidents at addresses in Sherington Road and Fircroft Road.

They are both currently in custody at Ipswich Police Investigation Centre.
