One of the major arguments against the proposals to build a wind farm at Thorington Barn is the problems being caused at Kessingland.
Repeatedly we hear that the problems caused to residents in Kessingland are those that are being imported to residents in South West Ipswich by Ipswich Borough Council's decision to give an option on a contract to a wind farm developer.
The remark that SW Ipswich Residents have barely seen or heard from Ben Gummer MP is unfair. It is on a neighbouring constituencies land. Apart from that, it's a rather interesting article.
On a neighbouring constituencies land? So Dr Poulter never makes statements about Ipswich Hospital, which can’t even be seen from his constituency? Jamie Cann never ran a campaign against the closure of the Bartlett when he was Ipswich MP? Ben himself has made comments about the importance of Adastral Park, very much in someone elses constituency.
That is a smokescreen. If it wasn’t an issue he didn’t want to talk about, he’d have public meetings to find out what the people IN his constituency thought.
Everyone knows Mr Gummer is a believer in climate change. Everyone thinks they know where he stands on wind turbines. His letter to a constituent certainly didn’t appear friendly to the idea of not building them. So it is politically convenient for him to say it is in a different constituency. That way he doesn’t have to upset the campaigners by saying he disagrees with them. It is unlike Mr Gummer to hide from a fight. Some people are disappointed in him for hiding from this one.
I refer to what Ben Gummer wrote on the survey., Unfortunately I can’t quote from it because I delivered all the copies of it I had.
The maternity block of Ipswich Hospital;can be seen from Kesgrave which is in DR Dan’s constituency..
It is unlike Mr Gummer to hide from a fight?
