Ipswich Labour must be so proud

The previous Labour administration on the borough with their policies of economic decline for the town centre, managed to successfully get a number of local town centre businesses to close. They successfully managed to have Martin and Newby, the oldest shop in town close and they also managed to get the fruiterer’s at the top of Westgate Street to close.

This administration has carried on the anti enterprise work of the previous Labour administration. They tried to have more small businesses close in the area of the Stepples where Martin and Newby’s once was with endless road works but they never managed to successfully ruin anybody else’s livelihoods on that occasion. But they have managed to get the bakers at the top of Westgate Street to close as well and now they have managed to get Bretts to move out of the town centre

Ipswich Labour must be so proud of themselves as they endeavour to turn Ipswich into a run down ruinous mess to make its habitants more inclined to vote Labour so they can carry on their policies of economic decline.

And I suppose it’s nothing to do with limitations put on them by the Tory government?

Excellent comment. The last Labour administration lost power when Tony Blair was still prime minister. I guess you’ll have to resort to the old chestnut of blaming Margaret Thatcher.

Kevin, everyone in my family have always voted Labour and I have always voted Labour. But after reading your blog I can’t deny that everything you say about Labour is true. They really don’t care about us and have not got the interests of Ipswich at heart. I would like to help Ben Gummer win next year. How do I get involved?
