To reduce the risk of robbery you can…
– Keep your bag closed and carry it across your body, if possible with the opening towards you.
– Don’t advertise your valuables, keep them in your pocket or handbag out of sight. Check it is safe before you use your phone.
– Don’t carry large amounts of cash or valuable items with you.
– Keep keys securely zipped in a pocket so you can still enter your property if your bag is stolen.
– Carry a personal attack alarm in your pocket.
– Make sure your phone and other valuables are security marked and registered on

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information is asked to call DC Ruth Hayter from Ipswich Priority Crime Team on 101 quoting reference IC/12/1847.
