Stupid things Alasdair Ross has said this Week

Over the last couple of days the author of the dRoss Blog has been on line saying lots of stupid things. First of all he tweeted lots of stupid things during the council meeting. For example

Questions about the Cranes site , seems Ipswich Tories prefer out of town shops to a thriving town centre

This is stupid because the development of the old Cranes site has created jobs and after the Mint Quarter Road Works shambles it’s not like Labour seem to want a thriving town centre either.

Alasdair also tweeted this

Question 9 will be up soon will Tory Cllr Pope put a stop to tweeting? Would he prefer Pravda?

Alasdair likes tweeting because 140 characters  reduces everything down to meaningless sound bites and meaningless sound bites are all he and Ipswich Labour have to offer.
The next stupid tweet was

Did the roadworks in Fore Street cause @ben4ipswich not to update his website since February?

This was particularly stupid because it demonstrates a total disregard for the businesses that are still suffering because of this administrations extreme incompetence in dealing with the problem.

The next stupid thing showing a total disregard for people was this

Tweeting question over and now back to wind turbines and a question from a Tory who lives no where near proposed turbine site

This is particularly stupid because it shows Ipswich Labour as they really are and such an attitude may explain why Alasdair did absolutely nothing to stop the mast being built in Rushmere Ward and left it to Judy Terry. Maybe the mast wasn’t close enough to Lonsdale Close for him to care. Also, if he thinks that where I live isn’t going to be affected, he is mistaken.

Then the author of the dRoss Blog tweeted this

Alasdair Ross ?@AlasdairRoss
@lewyitfc seem to forget to tell residents that they signed the deal
Expand

This is stupid because everyone is aware who signed the lease and who didn’t. It’s a classic case of Ipswich Labour doing nothing and blaming the Tories.

Then Alasdair tweeted this

Alasdair Ross ?@AlasdairRoss
Ipswich Council now debating the motion to make Ipswich a ‘Town of Sanctuary, pity those who came for wind turbine questions did not stay
Expand

This is stupid because it shows Ipswich Labours complete disdain for the public and demonstrates what a bunch of stuck up, patronising inverted snobs Ipswich Labour are.

Then yesterday Alasdair wrote this on the dRoss Blog.

Last night a Full Council, one of the Tory Front bench asked a question about the use of electronic devices at Full Council. Cllr Pope was the 21st Century Luddite – and his follow up question was the real crux of the matter – he wants councillors to be banned from tweeting at Full Council. In the end this caused even more tweets as Labour and Lib Dem Councillors joined the Ipswich Press in tweeting every question at the meeting. They were also joined in this tweet fest by two prominent Tory bloggers.

This stupid because no Tory Blogger who tweeted is an elected councillor.

But I am sure there are many more reasons why the Tories would like to see the end of the use of twitter and other social media in Ipswich Council meetings. Cllr Cenci and her infamous blog may be one reason they would like to see a total news blackout but there are other reasons I can think of.

This is even more stupid because Nadia’s blog is infinitely better than his. After all most of the time he just tells us his week ahead and ends with a paragraph full of nonsense about Tories.

Answers to questions about the Wind Turbines to be built to the South West of Ipswich, inform residents that the Tories signed the lease.

This is stupid because everyone is aware who signed the lease and who didn’t. It’s a classic case of Ipswich Labour doing nothing and blaming the Tories.

Or is it that they can’t find anyone who knows how to use twitter or even blogs.

As locally there are seven Tory blogs and one Labour blog, that’s probably the most stupid thing Alasdair has said yet. The stupidity didn’t stop there though

Even the Tory MP for Ipswich, Ben Gummer seems to be struggling with his website, according to his own site he has done no casework since February!

This is stupid because a lot of case work is confidential so Ben is hardly going to be putting it on his website is he?

  1. Update: I said
