UK must act to free Raif Badawi

Today, Saudi Arabia once again flogged blogger Raif 50 times in public, after Friday prayers.

It has been three weeks since he was first beaten, but despite state visits to Saudi Arabia and international outcry, the UK government has failed to publicly join the call for Raif’s freedom.

It is unacceptable for the UK government to remain silent. The UK needs to demonstrate their unwavering commitment to human rights and speak out.
