Ipswich is the capital of East Anglia.

Here on DullNews.com, the loathed one informs us that Ipswich is the county town of Suffolk. With a charter dating back 815 years, it has more listed buildings than Mustard City or Cambridge. It is England’s oldest continuously occupied Anglo Saxon town. It is home to more than 125,000 people, has a University that boasts amongst the best value added scores in the country and a football team that is threatening promotion to the Premier League.

I would just like to share these figures.

Number of football teams who have never lost at home in Europe: Ipswich 1 Norwich 0

Number of football teams that have won the UEFA Cup: Ipswich 1 Norwich 0

Number of football teams that have won the FA Cup: Ipswich 1 Norwich 0

Number of football teams that have been champions of England: Ipswich 1 Norwich 0

Number of famous Speedway teams: Ipswich 1 Norwich 0

Number of train stations: Ipswich 2 Norwich 1

Number of bus stations: Ipswich 2 Norwich 1

Number of sports stadia: Ipswich 2 Norwich 1

Number of decent roads to London: Ipswich 1 Norwich 0

Number of decent roads to the Midlands: Ipswich 1 Norwich 0

Ipswich is also the fourth oldest port in the country.

Regardless of what the bias BBC Look Norwich and ITV’s Norwich News says, Ipswich is the capital of East Anglia.
