Proposed laws could send women’s rights in Iran back several decades

The Iranian government has recently stepped up its assault on family planning and reproductive health services in an effort to boost the Iranian population.

They are now in the process of adopting two Bills that, through limiting access to contraceptives and various other discriminatory measures, threaten to erode women’s autonomy, their sexual and reproductive rights, and reduce them to nothing more than ‘baby-making machines’.
