Armed police storm wrong building in Cambridge

Armed police burst into an office building in Cambridge – but they had got the wrong address and were about 15 miles from where an attempted robbery was taking place – in Newmarket.

The Cambridgeshire force were alerted by their Suffolk counterparts about an ongoing incident at Premier Travel – but in Newmarket not in Cambridge.

About five patrol cars and the armed response unit attended the non-incident as traders and shoppers looked on – sparking fears of a terror attack as tensions mount following the attacks in Paris.
