Tories Storm to Victory in Newmarket and Red Lodge

The Conservatives have won the Newmarket and Red Lodge division by election with a comfortable majority of 150 and gained control of the County Council as a result.

The excellent Conservative candidate, Robin Millar won with 644 votes. In second place was UKIP’s Roger Dicker who couldn’t be bothered to show up at the count. Labour came third just managing to get a few more votes than the Independent candidate and the Lib Dems.

Soon there will be another by election in Haverhill where the Conservatives shall increase their majority further.
