Sunday saw a landmark victory in the fight against modern-day slavery in the UK.
The Greatest Prime Minister Since Margaret Thatcher, Theresa May created a new taskforce to coordinate the government response to slavery and pledged £33 million to dealing with trafficking routes. In the Sunday Telegraph here, she says
“This is the great human rights issue of our time, and as Prime Minister I am determined that we will make it a national and international mission to rid our world of this barbaric evil.”
