Democracy Usurped by Mammonocracy

There are well off students in London who can not understand why somebody their age, living on Chantry and working in Morrison’s, would vote to make it harder for them to travel around Europe during their Gap Year. This is because in this country at present, we have in the words of Benjamin Disraeli,

Two nations between whom there is no intercourse and no sympathy; who are as ignorant of each other’s habits, thoughts, and feelings, as if they were dwellers in different zones, or inhabitants of different planets. The rich and the poor.

But events over the last couple of days have demonstrated that the situation is far worse than that. What we have is two nations between whom there is no intercourse and no sympathy. The super rich who are willing to use their money and influence to stop the will of the poor and the poor which the super rich consider stupid and misinformed and should just take things with a stiff upper lip. The super rich elite are prepared to indulge in class war against the majority to achieve their aims. To keep the EU’s corrupt gravy train flowing to them they are willing to use money obtained through it to usurp democracy so that this country is in reality a Mammonocracy

What we have had is a self serving banker using her money to appeal against the people’s democratic decision and the judges who also benefit from being in the rotten Brussels based establishment, ruling in her favour. Rightly the government is appealing but as we are talking about the people who slow clapped a pro Brexit speech by Michael Gove, we can be sure the appeal will fail. How it has gone, it is clear that they learnt these underhand tactics from their darlings in Brussels.

We have a fabulous Prime Minister in Theresa May who is leading a One Nation Conservative government. This government is determined to have our country be a country that works for everyone and not just the well off few as the European Union does. As this government works for the whole country, we can be sure that the super rich will indulge in further underhand tactics to maintain their Mammonocracy.

  1. George Warren says:

Nick Clegg is another one who wants to ignore democracy. However he no longer intends to represent the people of Sheffield who voted by a small majority of 5200 to Leave on the 23rd June. Instead he thinks he knows better than 136,000 residents of that city.
