  1. S. Brannigan says:

If they build a bypass there will be 24 hour a day lorries rumbling past Westerfield on a dual carriageway about a half mile away, and the village will become a suburb of Ipswich. With the 20,000 houses they want to build between the town and the bypass, to pay for the road, Lower Road will no longer be a quiet country lane, at any time of the day.

  2. Patricia Freeman says:

Ipswich needs a northern by-pass as soon as possible. The town is becoming increasingly congested and being the engine room of Suffolk it should be thriving, but all this traffic and a lousy anti-business Labour council puts this prosperity at risk.
