Among the many things that the onging pandemic is impacting is mass social gatherings like Xmas markets and festive switch ons, and Felixstowe Town Council has decided our town is no different in that regard.
Unfortunately they have taken the decision that the popular annual Christmas lights switch on show, organised by the Felixstowe Lions Club and supported by Felixstowe Town Council, will have to be cancelled this year. The decision to cancel the event, which would usually see thousands coming from across the region to enjoy festive entertainment and browse the shops and craft market before the official switch on, unfortunately had to be made due to the coronavirus pandemic to ensure the safety of the public.
